Delegated Voting

We hope that the new delegated voting feature will be a breakthrough for our project! Delegated voting is a combination of direct and representative democracy elements. It was invented by Mikael Nordfors and others to combine the advantages of both systems. It allows you to delegated your vote to someone if you do not vote. You can observe what this person does with your vote, take it back if you do not like it, or give it to a different person. With this system we can integrate the voices of those who find it difficult to assess the system, have time constraints etc, potentially everybody! At the moment, you have three options:

- random delegation (default option)
- delegation to a special person (for example to the speaker)
- no delegation (your vote is only your vote)

You can change your settings if you go to "my profile" and then "change my profile" and "change delegated voting". At the moment, random delegation is the default option (which was already criticized), this can of course be changed, but we recommend to keep it this way, because it has an enormous potential for the project if we can ask even less active members to support the claims of the project through random delegation. Imagine the power of this project, if many people give us the permission to represent them or if they become active members!
